Be SAFE!

Plan on yours being a SAFE facility in 2011. This year's SAFE Program will start soon. By participating, you help yourself and your industry gain the clearest picture of our performance in workplace safety, environmental protection, and community relations. We need your help to maintain the most accurate and complete information. This knowledge can point to areas needing attention and thus ensures continued progress. Your data is always merged anonymously and only grouped statistics are shared.

Knowledge is power.

The only way your facility can benefit from the data, however, is by participating in the SAFE Program. By banding together through the annual awards application survey, we are mutually creating a powerful tool which helps everyone to stay safe and become safer.

Custom Reports

Each participating facility earns a special report prepared individually just for them. The report is packed with valuable information detailing your facility's performance in relation to grouped statistics for similar facilities and overall trends for our industry.

The SAFE Awards

We think Louisiana's quiet safety heroes deserve recognition. That's why the LCA Health & Safety Committee sponsors a series of awards.

To make these awards, we categorize Louisiana's chemical producers according to number of employees and then look for outstanding achievement in controlling emissions, excellence in employee and contractor safety, and degree of community involvement. In addition to individual awards for achievement in each area, we offer the top company in each size class a "Best in Louisiana" award.
