It is only with your help that we can assemble accurate and reliable information to share with you. With your survey data in place, everyone (including you) gets a truer picture of our industry's progress in workplace safety, environmental protection, and community relations. This knowledge is valuable to all of us because it can quickly identify areas needing attention and will form the basis on which further progress can be planned. Your data is always merged anonymously and only group averages are shared with participants.

Knowledge is power.

The only way to get it, however, is to participate in the SAFE Program. By banding together through the annual awards application survey, we are mutually creating a powerful tool which helps everyone to become safer.

Louisiana's chemical plants benefit from some of the most dedicated and experienced safety experts anywhere in the world. Our expertise has helped to invent and perfect the modern chemical plant right here. Day after day, we show the world how to routinely produce quality product without incident while protecting the air and water for our children. We have done all of this individually. Custom Reports

Each participating facility earns a special report prepared individually just for them. The report is packed with valuable information detailing the plant's performance in relation to group averages for similar facilities and showing overall trends for our industry as a whole.

Our mutual goal is to produce steady progress, but exceptional results in a given year do deserve special commendation. Unfortunately, having a great safety record and a great environmental record seldom attracts the attention it deserves.

The SAFE Awards

To make these awards, we categorize Louisiana's chemical producers according to number of employees and then judge them for outstanding achievement in controlling emissions, excellence in employee and contractor safety, and degree of community involvement. In addition to individual awards for achievement in each area, we offer the top company in each size class a "Best in Louisiana" award.

Online Application Only

Applications must be made online. The LCA Health & Safety Committee has established one master user account for each member plant which participated last year. (We also created some standard accounts for other facility team members for whom we had e-mail addresses.) The master account allows your facility's Master User to effortlessly create new accounts for other members of your team should you need them.
